It’s Fall Y’all - All Denim
Fall is by far the best fashion season of the year. So many reasons: the color are rich and vibrant, the weather is not too hot or cold and the fabric choices are so vast, you can keep the linens going, the crepes or the denim. I just happen to love denim year round and the Atlanta Sewing Style community readily adopted denim as the Fall theme for our photo shoot. We staged the shoot at the iconic and lovely Centennial Olympic Park, where you can see many background paying homage to the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. We visited the Olympic Rings Fountain (before the visiting kids ran us off). We walk through the brick pathways to different iron and marble statues and respectfully took our pictures blending in with the aesthetics of each area. Denim just works everywhere.
This is my friend Shamica West. The best buddy anyone can have. She's rocking her mixture of denium and lace and leather - streetstyle at it best!
I love this trend of tying the ankles down - have been inspired by them all over social media. So I took Closetcase Pattern's PIETRA Pants and attached a D-ring belt and straps at the bottom. Love this look. the pants have deep front pockets and wide legs.
The top is self drafted using a fabric I found at ASG's recent Common Threads fabric/pattern sale. All fabric was $2 per yard and I found this sheer print. Long sleeves with gathered wrist and a tied strap to match the pants.

Dina heard we were shooting all denim and asked to join us to showcase her re-fashioned denim accessories. What a hit - Shamica and Christina joined in the fun and modeled the bags.
Thanks for the love!
