From Corporate Sales to Sewing Instructor

Happy Sewing!

My journey from corporate America back to my roots in sewing is truly inspiring, even to me! I am the daughter of Charlotte, Beatrice, Juanita and Charlotte and my passion for sewing has 4th generation roots. At 8 years old, I sat on the porch sewing with my Granny and never stopped. She taught me all the needles and sewing and crochet stuck and a little embroidery, but knitting ? - UGH!

Returning to sewing and teaching after a 30-year successful corporate career including a global pandemic, I learned I was dedicated to sharing my skills with others. Sewing is not only a practical skill but also an art form that allows for self-expression and creativity....and all of that feels really good. I learned to sew by hand and got my first sewing machine at 12 years old. I loved transforming old clothes into new, fashionable pieces, realizing my talent for upcycling and repurposing.

Now, as I continue along this chapter of teaching others to up their sewing game, my wealth of experience and passion will undoubtedly inspire and empower you. I love sewing my style and helping others do the same. Would love to join you on your sewing journey just as Granny did for me.

I was once told "if I learned, I must teach"...which is something that will stay with me forever.
